Stay One STEP Ahead at the Tax, Trusts & Estates Conference
The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) will be holding their Tax, Trusts & Estates Conferences in London and Manchester between 20th April and the 21st May 2009. These Conferences offer valuable guidance on the latest developments within the Estates & Trusts industry.
The three one day events all feature an experienced and multi-disciplinary panel of speakers who will share their insight and highlight current issues on a variety of topics, including a UK probate update which will cover recent legislative changes and the new IHT400, which has replaced the IHT200 Inheritance Tax account.
Also under discussion are current ‘hot topics’ regarding Trusts and Estate Planning, which will be looking at Inheritance Act claims for the private client practitioner, Wills: fraud & forgery, powers of appropriation as well as Pilot Trusts, Deeds of Variation and the current hot potato, the Nil-Rate Band.
Another main point of focus is Will Executors and Charity Beneficiaries; where Statutory Wills and Will Trusts will be discussed. An in-depth look into charity beneficiaries assisting executors and related tax issues will also be in the spotlight.
Leading Will Writing and Estate Planning services provider Trust Inheritance commented:

There’s so much more to be gained than merely attending the talks as these events also bring together industry professionals from all over the UK where ideas & experiences can be shared and discussed. You can’t put a price on that kind of synergy.”
The STEP Tax, Trust & Estates conferences will be held on April 20th at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London. The 8th May at the Hilton hotel at London Gatwick Airport, and the 21st May at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate in Manchester. For more details, please click here.
